**Annual Report – January to December 2020** 

## **Administration** 

Cantamus Chamber Choir continued to be organised in the way that had been established in the charity’s constitution when it gained formal charitable status in January 2017. 

The following trustee resigned during the period covered by this report  Moira Alabaster (Chair of trustees) The following trustees joined during the period covered by this report

## **Objective** 

Cantamus’ objective remained unchanged: 

‘To further the cause of choral music by it’s study, practice and public performance in order to foster public appreciation in the art and science of music.’ 

## **Activities** 

Rehearsals began in January with the expectation of 3 performances throughout the year together with a tour to Germany in May. 

Due to Covid 19 all face to face activities ceased. Some members joined in with zoom rehearsals on and off throughout the year and a small group of members sang carols and Christmas music outside a local old people’s home. 

## **Finances** 

A summary of accounts is attached. Many members continued to pay subs and with Gift Aid and other donations income was £3485. 

The choir continued to pay our musical director and accompanist and together with music hire, publicity and Making Music fees expenditure was £3879.
