STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT

The trustees in conjunction make all decisions with the Senior Pastor who chairs all meetings. The charity has different functional areas, which are headed by the trustees or a member of the church according to the required expertise.

RELATIONSHIPS

The charity is associated with other reputable and recognised organisations nationally and internationally. From time to time, trustees or the ministers have been delegated to represent the church at meetings and conferences. The church has given financial and spiritual support to such organisations in the pursuit of our objectives and realisation of our visions.

OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES

Kingdom Crown Chapel aims to enrich the spiritual, educational, social, physical and cultural needs of its members and the wider community through the advancement of the Christian faith by teaching Christian truth and such other means as the trustees shall in their discretion deem fit. The specific objectives of which the ministry is established are:

1. Evangelism and Christian Education

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE

Kingdom Crown Chapel celebrated its 3rd year anniversary for which we are grateful to God. Our goal remains the same, to spread the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ and make disciples of nations according to His Great Commission. Our prayer and expectation is that God will continue to use Kingdom Crown Chapel as an instrument of salvation in our world. The church organised a summer event for the Children, Drama, Bible classes. We also baptised a number of members as guided by the holy spirit. We started a Bible training school for the 18 years and above members to help equip them in their knowledge of the scriptures.

CONFERENCES

We held our annual National Assembly to ordain new ministers into office this year.

COMMUNITY EVENTS

We believe the work of God requires strategic partnerships and alliances. As part of working together with other churches in the city, we are part of IPHC, and The Light of the World Church in London.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE MEMBERS OF

YEAR ENDED 31 AUGUST 2020

I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31 August 2020 set out on page 10 to 12.

RESPECTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES OF TRUSTEES AND INDEPENDENT EXAMINER

The charity's trustees (who are also the directors of Covenant Church for the purposes of company law) are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year (under section 43(2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the 1993 Act), as amended by section 28 of the Charities Act 2006) and that an independent examination is needed.

Having satisfied myself that the charity is not subject to audit under company law and is eligible for independent examination, it is my responsibility to:

Basis of Independent Examiner's Statement

My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on whether the accounts present a 'true and fair view'.
