Background
The charity was set up following the death of the noted artist Gustave Metzger on 1[st] March 2017. The format of the charity is a charitable incorporated organisation.
Financial position
The charity is the residuary beneficiary of the estate of Gustav Metzger. However, at the present time there is no indication of when funds or assets will be able to be transferred to the charity, due to the complexities of the estate. The executors are hopeful that they will be in a position to begin funding the charity during the 2025-26 tax year.
Accordingly up to the 31[st] May 2024 the charity had no assets, and had not yet received any income or made any expenditures. That continues to be the position up to the date of filing this return.
