## **Title: Review of Ball Out Community Development Activity**

Introduction: The Ball Out Community Development Activity aimed to foster community engagement, promote physical activity, and enhance social cohesion through the medium of basketball and 3x3 basketball. This review assesses the impact, successes, and areas for improvement of this initiative, providing insights into its overall effectiveness.

## **Objectives:**

To encourage community members to participate in physical activity. To provide a platform for social interaction and community building. To promote the values of teamwork, discipline, and fair play through basketball.

**INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT**

FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 March 2023

## **INDEPENDENT EXAMINER’S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF BALL OUT COMMUNITY**

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Ball Out Community (registered number 1176395) for the year ended 31 March 2023 which are set out on pages 5 to 10.

Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner.

As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

## **Basis of independent examiner’s report**

My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts with those records.

It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently, I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.

## **Independent examiner’s statement**

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

- accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or

- the accounts do not accord with the accounting records.

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
