People can connect with a cuppa in local, easily accessible venues.A weekly exercise group is provided to help people maintain mobility in addition to the lunch groups. Para 1.20 | By November 2022 concern over Covid had reduced slightly amongst the group who are all older, vulnerable people. Groups met regularly every week throughout the year for 3 lunches with up to 12 attending each lunch. New weekend theatre trips and Sunday lunches at a local hotel were introduced to help alleviate loneliness over the weekend. The exercise group has grown in popularity and is helping to maintain the mobility of the attendees and keeping them fit and active so they can take part in activities in the community. New people have joined the group and new friendships and connections are being maintained outside of the group activities. |
