PROJECT OVERVIEW & HOSPITAL CONSTRUCTION REPORT ## **Maryam Welfare Society** **Location:** Gujrat, Pakistan | **Land Area:** 30,000 sq. ft. | **Status:** Officially Registered & Under Construction ## **Project Background & Mission** The Maryam Welfare Society project is currently underway in Gujrat, Pakistan. This comprehensive building is being constructed on 30,000 square feet of land. While a significant amount of work has already been completed, a substantial portion of construction remains. The facility is being prepared specifically as a specialized hospital and care home dedicated to the care, treatment, and rehabilitation of disabled children. Pakistan is home to a large number of disabled children whose parents face severe financial hardship and cannot afford their daily care and medical expenses. Furthermore, a massive and heartbreaking challenge arises when some of these vulnerable children lose their parents. This care home is designed to provide a permanent sanctuary for children who are completely disabled and whose primary caregivers have passed away. ## **Operational Challenges & Current Capacity** We currently care for more children than our official capacity allows, and we face ongoing financial hurdles in covering their diverse expenses. However, through the grace of Allah and the invaluable assistance of generous donors and supporters, these vital expenses are being successfully managed day by day. ## **Maryam Medical Center (Operational)** At the Maryam Medical Center—which is already operational—disabled children who possess the potential to improve with specialized treatment are receiving completely free medical care and therapeutic attention. ## **Staff and Essential Workforce** To maintain proper standards of care, certain staff members must receive regular salaries to sustain their own households and ensure uninterrupted service. This essential personnel includes qualified doctors, administrative managers, cleaning staff, and dedicated security guards. Maryam Welfare Society — Project Overview Page 1 of 2 ## **Construction & Funding Mechanism** The funds of the Maryam Welfare Society alongside the majority of personal income contributions are continuously being invested into this building project. This intensive focus stems from the reality that we cannot accommodate more disabled children in the residential care center until the construction is fully finalized. The Maryam Welfare Society is officially registered in Pakistan and remains deeply committed to serving disabled children with total responsibility and transparency. **Note on Funding Strategy:** We do not hold accumulated reserve funds.
