The objects of the charity are to preserve and
protect the health of sufferers of autoimmune
conditions and diseases by:
(i) promoting research for the public benefit
into developing treatments and funding a cure
for autoimmune conditions and diseases,
including their prevention, and to disseminate
the useful results of such research.
(li) relieving sickness amongst persons who are
suffering from an autoimmune condition or
disease. and
(iii) advancing the education of the public in
general on the subject of autoimmune
conditions and diseases.

We undertook a range of fundraising events in
2024. These included participating in the
London Marathon, a sponsored coast-to-coast
cycle, the Five Ferry Cycle Challenge, walking
Offa's Dyke, the Old Deeside Railway Run,
sponsored skydiving, wild swimming in each of
the four home nations, a sailing fun day at
Largs, the Great Scottish Run, a bake sale as
well as our traditional carol service and
Christmas card sales. We also made awards as
detailed further below.

The charity's reserves increased by around
£6,500 through its fundraising activities.
Additionally, the charity paid out £50,000 as the
Ann Wyn Sherman Researth Award to
establish the An Wyn Shennan Kidney Tissue
Bank, and made two awartls in memory of
Finlay Herrington.

## **Independent examiner's report to the trustees of Age Concern Ruabon** 

I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of FAIR  (the Charity) for the year ended 31st 

## **Responsibilities and basis of report** 

As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with th Charities Act 2011 ('the Act'). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and in carr have followed all applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

## **Independent examiner's statement** 

I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me caus material respect: 

1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or 

2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or 

3. the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts se (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a true and fair view considered as part of an independent examination.
