By providing the 'Legal Awareness Programme' based on the General Principles of English Law, and focusing on criminal law and the Criminal Justice System. March **2012** **TAR** 2 In planning our activities for the year, we kept in mind the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit at our trustee meetings. The main activities are as follows: • the legal awareness programme; • the design of personal development plans; and • a programme of youth orientated events and activities. These activities could have benefited young people by developing their self-confidence, legal skills/ understanding, social skills, and life skills and provided opportunities for young people to become better citizens.
