   - As each of the trustees read out their reports, it would be appreciated if all members can silence their phones to keep out any background noise. 

   - If you have any questions throughout, it will be easier to raise your hand. 

   - When it comes to voting later, we will be taking votes or identifying objections by physically raising of hands. 

   - Finally, if you wish to actively or remotely assist with the running of the unit. Whether driving, administrational, fishing out grants or having an impact on the unit operations, then more hands make light work and furthermore, create greater opportunities for our young people, so please do shy away, we welcome your support however big or small. ## **Treasurer's Re ort p** 

The 2023/24 financial year involved significant changes for TS Fernie, some planned and some unplanned. 

We moved to Welland Park Academy full-time in September 2023. While this was going to be a financially sound move overall, it required fundraising and the purchase of two 20'x8' temporary buildings, with the help of the **Market Harborough Building Society Charitable Foundation** , the **Howard Watson Symington Memorial Charity** , and the **Market Harborough and the Bowdens Charity** , as the storage room promised within the school didn't materialise as planned. 

Three months later, we were given notice to quit WPA out of the blue. Fortunately, we returned to a cramped but homely St Dionysius Hall. Again, a few unplanned costs were incurred, which would bring back the rental costs we didn't have at the school and increase our vehicle costs going forward, which were part of our agreement. 

Overall, the charity's finances are in good health, but we will need to consider building reserves to allow us to consider any future moves to larger premises and the costs they will incur. This need not lead to increased cadet contributions; continued careful management and grant applications for equipment purchases should allow us to operate successfully. 

Overall, the charity made a small surplus of just over £3,500 for the year ending 31st March 2024.
