The Lodge Trust is a CQC registered Care Home and so must adhere to national Government and Regulator guidelines. Due to the extreme vulnerability of the people who live at the Lodge and the continuing risks of coronavirus throughout this financial year, any visiting relatives or essential contractors had to be tested before being allowed controlled entry and all the Lodge Trust staff had to be tested three times a week. Because of the difficulties to ensure that this process could be maintained to the visitors of the play park, the park remained closed until further notice. During the year the trustees and the management committee for the play park had regular updates with the Lodge Trust and issued a joint statement with the local parish council to all households within the village and surrounding areas. The statement gave an in-depth and informative update as to why the pay park had to remain closed and that any up-dates would be issued via the community circular. The trustees and management committee for the play park remained confident that the play park would be able to re-open during 2022 and continued to keep in close contact and work with the Lodge Trust. No changes to the trustees or the volunteers were made during the financial. There were no fund raising activities during the year. The only expenditure was for the annual insurance premium.
