Chairman’s Report :
The sole activity of the UK Harmony Brigade in the 2020/2021 year was an educational event that was a Virtual Rally due to health risks. The event consisted of home voice recordings by each participant in their own voice part, followed by editing into quartet combinations, and each quartet then recorded a video on Zoom. The preparation and learning by each participant was extensive. The continuous singing with many different quartet partners provides a unique educational opportunity for all, so the educational aims of the UKHB were met.
Treasurer’s Report:
The income for the year was £980; expenditures were £206.66 leaving an excess of £773.34. With an opening balance of £12.203.94, UKHB ends the year with a balance of £12977.28. This includes a balance in our scholarship fund, which stands at £1601.38.
Discussion:
The Trustees consider the year’s activities to have been successful and in line with our objectives. A decision was made to organise for an event of similar structure in February 2022, at the same venue in Nottingham that we used in 2020 (DeVere Jubilee Conference Centre).
Resolution:
1 The trustees voted unanimously to authorize Hugh Parker to establish a bank account at Lloyds. Payments to be authorized by any two of: Hugh Parker, Noey McElwee, Kevan Liebling.
2 Minutes of 2020 AGM were approved unanimously.
