PREMISES
Redecoration ol the downstairs hall and foyer planned for 2023 was again stalled partly due lo two
weddings taking place during the year which squeezed the time available lo do the work. 11 Is intended
lo start and complete the work during 2024. The aim is for members of the fellowship lo do the work.
The stone walls forming the roadside boundary hedge were repaired in February 2023. The coloured glass
side windows al the front of the building were covered with acrylic sheets attached lo the outside window
frames in July 2023. A problem was discovered during the summer of under stairs floor on the railway
side. Investigation revealed Totten flooring and weakened supports for the stairs. A full repair was
carried out In September.
A work paty was planned for O¢lober 2023 bul circumstsn¢e$ enforced a poslponemenl lo Spring
2024.
We have been reliant for many years on wi11ing volunteers lo regularly mow the grass areas which
surround the building. During 2023 il became apparent that this was no longer a viable option In the
autumn we were offered a suitable second hand ride-on mower which we purchased in December.
Permanent on-511e storage is a problem lor this acquisition and one of the tasks lor 2024 Is lo extend
our current slor8ge facilities to house the mower 11 is temporarily being housed in a nearby secure
garage which Is not being used as such.
Several other major tasks were identified during the latter part of the year which will need lo be
performed by external contractors and a plan is being drawn up as lo how and when lo gel these
tasks done.
