Section D
Achievements and performance
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity
during the year
l understand that this is still a very difficult and challenging year for the
peoples in that remote areas with the daily routine life is extremely
difficult and the facilities for the daily routine activities and the life is
difficult to get because of so many regional and national factors.
understand that there were effects on the community due to previous
Pandemic which are quite long lasting and the people are still in the
phase of the recovery which is extremely incomplete and partial , but
nevertheless, with our limited resources, we have continue to make
every effort to help the needy in that area, who are under great deal of
stress and pressure both mentally as well as financially because of the
negative impact of deep poverty and lack of support from the
government on their life and the families, but the familie5 are still
struggling to survive in the poor atmosphere because they do not have
much choice to move out of that area. which made them extremely
difficult to survive in that particular region which was already affected by
the various disasters.in addition, the winter, financial instability including
the political instability affecting the country in combination with poor
law and order situation in that region, It Was extremely difficult for them
because of the lack of the facilities. The general commodities are still
difficult to get because of the transport problems which are quite
chronic, but things are becoming more and more expensive with the
time and there are also other regional factors which are responsible for
the lack of provision of these comorbidities on a regular basis in that
area. in combination with both poor and unstable financial conditions
generally in the country but are also affected by the weather and the
poor transport structures generally.
l always try myself vislting area and distribute the cash among the needy
people. I have done the same duringthis period and distributed the cash
to the various families and to the various people to establish their own
businesses on the long-term basis so they cannot be dependent on the
charity or rest of their life. In addition, we have regularly also helped
some of the families to carry out their wedding ceremonies. People are
still facing a lot of financial hardship to go with the day-to-day
expenditures and the family's expenditures especially the schooling and
the university fees. We had tried to help as much as we can according to
overall
resources in
terms
of financial support. We regularly
send money to
needy
people
for
their
schooling
and
university expenditurelincluding hefty fees. I can confirm that the
education is not free in that region both the primary, secondary, and the
university education, pupils are very keen to educate the family but
unfortunately because of the financial strain it is becoming increasingly
difficult every day.
All the beneficiaries live in the Muzaffarabad, and Islamabad region of
Pakistan, but some of the families have moved from this region h to the
other parts of the country and we try to also help them. the regions
always suffers with regular flooding and devastating economic effect on
the life due to poor infrastructure which were already affected so badly
by the previous earthouakes and other disasters. unfortunately, there is

no planning to prevent these natural disasters by the governinent
because of the poor economic situation.
As a result of the above, many individuals and families have been
affected to survive and maintain a reasonable life in spite having no
access to food, clean water and other basic amenities wh ich we take for
granted here.
The Emen welfare charity continues to help several individuals and
families to reduce malnutrition (good food and clean waterl and provide
comfortable clothing suitable for harsher weathers. In addition, aid
recipients have also used the money continue to improve shelter, assist
with medical costs and to support their children's education.
The aid provided has eased the suffering of many individuals who do not
have the means to work or study due to disabilities or a lack of
opportunities in a region that is unstable and has been neglected by the
local government. The aid also has provided help financially some of the
families who have children with the disability with the special needs.
During this period, we have helped so many families who are under great
deal of financial stress and pressure which does include the university
and school fees and wedding ceremonies. There are quite a few other
families, children have become university students for which we
provided the financial support for the fee and the living allowance on a
regular basis. We continue to support them until they are fully qualified
from the University and then become independent member of the
society.
We have helped so many 5tudent5 and families in terms of
cash provisions, for the university and the school fees. In addition,
because of pandemic, it was not possible to go over there physically to
provide the cash to the families who do not have access to banks
accounts, we have also provided the money to other people who can in
turn given to them, for the daily expenses. Some of the families were
helped with medical bills.A lot of families were also provided with
money to buy vehicles, rickshaws (type of cabsl which provided them
means to earn money on a regular basis for their family.
Recently we also have request for the support for the burial of their
family members who died because of the various factor5 especially the
chronic diseases and the family cannot afford the burial expenses.
We continue to help the families with financial support to build their
houses. We have also given the money to some of the disabled people
having learning difficulties for the daily routine necessities.
In addition, in 2023 ~2024, we had also provided around 10 laptops and
few l-Pads and smart phones to some families for the use of their
children who are university students. And we will continue to provide
this education service to the needy families on regular basis by providing

this facility which is very expensive in that region, and we hope to
continue this in future also. There were few widows with children who
were also in need of money to run their houses expensive on a regular
basis. We tried to help them as much as we could.
We always tried to transfer the money through the bank accounts, but
some of the families do not have any bank accounts, therefore, we
provided them with cash th rough other means.
We have identified some very decent people who are willing to
distribute the money on our behalf to the needy people in that area and
who do not have the bank account facilities because of the lack of
education, so we instruct them to distribute the money to the needv
people and they are very happy to provide the service.
In addition, Sabeeha Karim also continues to help to collect a lot of
clothes, shoes and other utensils, which were sent them by freight
before and we are hoping that we are going to do the same next year
also. We will continue doing these charity work in near future.
l always tried to go into that region at least once a year personally to
distribute the cash to the different people and to find out the needy
people who needs help on the long-term basis especially regarding their
houses and their expenses for their children education. We try to go over
the regularly to review and to see the improvement for work and
hopefully we always tried to report in our statement.
We are extremely saddened with the continuation of this 51tuation for
other people over there, and we can understand the local government
does not have sufficient resources to ease the suffering. We will continue
to help these people, as much as we can according to our own limited
resource5.
l am hoping to travel again to see the progress of our help Next year. In
the report will be included in my next Statement.
