In carrying out the charity’s activities the Trustees have had regard to the Charity Commissioner’s guidance on public benefit. 

Aid was provided to several individuals and families to support them with food, clothing, shelter, education and medical costs.

|**Summary of the main**<br>**achievements of the charity**<br>**during the year**|I understand, that this was still a very difficult and challenging year<br>because of   effects on the community  due to previous  Pandemic and the<br>people are still in the phase of the recovery which is extremely incomplete<br>and partial , but nevertheless, we have continued  to make  every effort to<br>help the needy in that area, who are under great deal of stress and pressure<br>both mentally as well as financially because of the negative impact of<br>pandemic on their life and the families, which made them extremely<br>difficult to survive in that particular region which was already affected by<br>the various disasters.in addition, the winter, financial instability including<br>the political instability affecting the country  poor law and order  situation<br>in that region, It was extremely difficult for them due to lack of the<br>facilities. The general commodities are still difficult to get because of the<br>transport problems which are quite chronic, in combination with both<br>poor and unstable financial conditions generally in the country but are<br>also affected by the weather and the poor transport structures generally.<br>I always try myself visiting area and distribute the cash among the needy<br>people. In addition, we have regularly also helped some of the families to<br>carry out their wedding ceremonies. People are still facing a lot of<br>financial hardship to go with the day-to-day expenditures and the family's<br>expenditures especially the school and the university fees. We had tried to<br>help as much as we can according to overall resources in terms of<br>financial<br>support.<br>We regularly<br>send money to<br>needy<br>people<br>for their school and university expenditure / including hefty fees. I can<br>confirm that the education is not free in that region both the primary,<br>secondary, and the university education, pupils are very keen to educate<br>the family but unfortunately because of the financial strain it is becoming<br>increasingly difficult every day.<br>All the beneficiaries live in the Muzaffarabad, and Islamabad region of<br>Pakistan, but some of the families have moved from this   region to the<br>other parts of the country and we try to also help them.  The region<br>always suffers with regular flooding and devastating economic effect on<br>the life due to poor infrastructure which were already affected so badly by<br>the previous earthquakes and other disasters. Unfortunately, there is no<br>planning to prevent these natural disasters by the government because of<br>the poor economic situation.<br>As a result of the above, many individuals and families have been affected<br>to survive and maintain a reasonable life in spite having no access to food,<br>clean water and other basic amenities which we take for granted here.<br>The Emen welfare charity continues to help several individuals and<br>families to reduce malnutrition (good food and clean water) and provide<br>comfortable clothing suitable for harsher weathers. In addition, aid<br>recipients have also used the money continue to improve shelter, assist<br>with medical costs and to support their children’s education.<br>The aid provided has eased the suffering of many individuals who do not<br>have the means to work or study due to disabilities or a lack of<br>opportunities in a region that is unstable and has been neglected by the<br>local government. The aid also has provided help financially some of the<br>families who have children with the disability and special needs.<br>During this period, we have helped so many families who are under great|

deal of financial stress and pressure which does include the university and school fees and wedding ceremonies. There are quite a few other families' children have become university students for which we provided the financial support for the fee and the living allowance on a regular basis. We continue to support them until they are fully qualified from the University and then become independent member of the society. We have helped so many students and families in terms of cash provisions, for the university and the school fees. In addition, because of pandemic, it was not possible to go over there physically to provide the cash to the families who do not have access to banks accounts, we have also provided the money to other people who can in turn given to them, for the daily expenses. Some of the families were helped with medical bills. A lot of families were also provided with money to buy vehicles, rickshaws (type of cabs) which provided them means to earn money on a regular basis for their family. We continue to help the families with financial support to build their houses. We have also given the money to some of the disabled people having learning difficulties for the daily routine necessities. In addition, in 2022-2023, we had also provided around 15 laptops to some families for the use of their children who are university students. And we will continue to provide this education service to the needy families on regular basis by providing this facility which is very expensive in that region, and we hope to continue this in future also. There were few widows with children who were also in need of money to run their houses expensive on a regular basis. We tried to help them as much as we could. We tried to transfer the money through the bank accounts, but some of the families do not have any bank accounts, therefore, we provided them with cash through other means. In addition, Sabeeha Karim also continues to help to collect a lot of clothes, shoes and other utensils, which were sent them by freight before and we are hoping that we are going to do the same next year also. We will continue doing these charity work in near future. We are hoping to travel to the region to review and to see the improvement for work and hopefully we can report that next year statement. We are extremely saddened with the continuation of this situation for other people over there, and we can understand the local government does not have sufficient resources to ease the suffering. We will continue to help these people, as much as we can according to our own limited resources. 

I am hoping to travel again to   see the progress of our help next year. In the report will be included in my next statement.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31 December 2023. 

**Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation **basis of report** of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
