financial year with £34,878 of funds brought
forward from 2019-20, £2,838 being
unrestricted and £32,045 being restricted
funds.
The charity has successfully secured
£150,000 of additional funding during the
2020-21 financial period. This funding has
been received from the national lottery via
Sport England to further support new
sporting initiatives and help tackle
inequalities.
Total expenditure of £77,003 has been
incurred during the period, primarily linked
to the delivery of the Sport England

financial period. The funding carried
forward is committed with the delivery
partners to deliver the objectives within the
Sport England programme. This is in line
with the phasing of the programme.
Statement explaining the
policy for holding reserves
stating why they are held
Para 1.22 The charity held £111,881 in reserves on
31stMarch 2021. This is primarily due to
the timing of the programme deliverables.
The charity expects, in line with the
business case, to commit all funding
secured to support delivery of the
programme objectives.

grant bids in progress. The inequalities
agenda is increasingly becoming more of a
global priority which is likely to result in
increased funding to support this through
the charity.
