(6,959)|12,187| |---|---|---|---| ||||12,254| ||||Err:509| Bal ## FMPG – TREASURERS STATEMENT As a set of figures from which the accounts for filing with Charities commission will be drawn , they are concerning for us as a club for although currently in the bank we have £15,273 in the current account at today’s date and just over £16,600 in the savings account, for both this year (2020-2021) and last year (2019-2020) the membership has declined considerably. This clearly is our main source of income . With covid it could be argued that this is hardly surprising but if it signifies a trend, it needs addressing. The membership for 2019-2020 – 108 The membership for last year (these accounts) 2020-2021 was 85 but of these 25 joined when rate was reduced to £25.00 for the end of the year. To date the membership stands at 53 this clearly includes those who paid in June 2021 and included in the set of figures for 2020-2021 and those who have paid subsequently in July. The deceptive amount of 10,457.79 for membership subscriptions in these accounts includes not only 2,011 forward payments of subscriptions for next year ie 2021-2022 but also an FXU payment of student assisted membership from the university of £2,646 so membership subscriptions should be viewed as £5,88.79 and so it is only as a result of the Flash boat sale and part payment of Plastic gig that these accounts show a surplus of income over expenditure. Also in hand we have just over £200 in the cash box. With regards to expenditure the rent and insurance have remained more or less the same although a small rebate has been gained from Public Liability insurance because, with Covid, we haven’t been able to row and also from electricity supply who decided to alter the agreed SO payment! The administration costs due to the computer company for maintenance of the calendar (Studio Universe) have kindly been waived, also there has been a reimbursement of some subscriptions where members felt they were not rowing enough to justify payment. Windsports rental for the Oar box has been relinquished as the skiffs are no longer there. A donation has been made to the Sailing Club where it is hoped we can now hold our meetings ….when allowed!!!!
