Trustees’ Annual Report for the Charity Commission for the year ending 30th June 2024

Ahmadiyya Anjuman Lahore Foundation (AALF) is owner of the property 15 Stanley Avenue, Wembley. It carries out its objectives through collaboration with its sister charity Ahmadiyya Anjuman Ishaat Islam Lahore (UK), a CIO, reg. no. 1195956, by allowing and facilitating the latter to use these premises for its work. The two charities share the same objects: The advancement of the religion of Islam and in particular of the Ahmadiyya Movement of Lahore as endorsed by Ahmadiyya Anjuman Lahore, Pakistan, and the relief of poverty.

AALF spends its income principally on the maintenance and management of its premises. The sister charity uses the premises to hold religious gatherings, meetings, talks and prayer functions, and to store its stock of books which are distributed to those enquiring about Islam and the Ahmadiyya Movement of Lahore. Details of the work of the sister charity are provided in the Annual report of that charity. That work is the joint work of ourselves and our sister charity. It is overseen by us in AALF and we set its terms. To avoid duplication of reporting, all our activities are now reported in the Annual report of AAIIL(UK).

The following may be mentioned in connection with the work of AALF during this reporting period:

• Book publication: A book Islam and Antisemitism was almost completed during the period of reporting (and was later published in September 2024). It aims to show that Islam does not teach hatred of Jews and in fact requires Muslim to respect their prophets to show sympathy to Jews in times of their need and persecution.

• Berlin Mosque: For the centenary of the Berlin Mosque and Mission of the Ahmadiyya Anjuman Lahore in Berlin, Germany, a donation of £500 was sent.

• Collaboration and Resource Sharing Agreement: A new, formal agreement was signed with our sister charity Ahmadiyya Anjuman Ishaat Islam Lahore (UK), granting it a licence to use the property 15 Stanley Avenue, Wembley.
