The Trustees present their Annual Report together with the financial statement for HEXAGON, for the period 1[st] April 2020 to 31[st] March 2021.

The Trustees confirm that the Report and financial statement of the charity comply with the current statutory requirements, the requirements of the chari ����������������������������������� visions of the Statement of ��������������������������������������������������������������������� issued in March 2005.

The charity is controlled by its governing document and constitutes an unincorporated charity.

The Trustees have a duty to identify and review the risks to which the charity is exposed and to ensure appropriate controls are in place to provide reasonable assurance against fraud and error.

OBJECTS AND AIMS

The objects of the charity are to advance education for the public benefit in the humanities as they relate to France and the rest of Europe by organising discussions, lectures and conferences.

CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES

During this period the charity has arranged and held a number of events to further its objectives, all being held online due to the pandemic situation.

PLAN FOR THE FUTURE

AS HEXAGON moves into its fourth year as a registered charity, its intention is to consolidate what has been achieved so far and to continue with its present objectives. In the difficult context of the Pandemic, the Hexagon Society has moved most of its events online, in line with the government advice.

NOTES TO ACCOUNTS

There are no Fixed Assets

There are no debtors or creditors at period end

Cash at Bank at inception of the period on 1[st] April 2019 + £13,293 Cash at Bank at the end of the period on 31[st] March 2020 + £849

No Gift Aid on donations during accounting period was claimed

There were no permanent staff salaries or pension costs and no fees or expenses paid to Trustees.

Due to the Covid situation in England, no physical event was organised during the period. Instead, all events were moved online through Zoom. Hence a sharp reduction in expenditures and a lower income than in previous years.
