## **Trustees’ Annual Report 2023** 

Achievements of the Trust since the last AGM, which took place on 19[th] October 2022: 

- 1) Membership increased to 40 members. 

- 2) The Full Lease was signed with Network Rail. 

- 3) The restoration of the station was largely completed in August 2023, with just a few remaining jobs to finish. Building Control signoff received. 

- 4) A Tea Room operator (Cheryl Clark) was appointed and the Tea Room opened for business on 2[nd] August 2023 under the name, “The Tea Room at Bricket Wood Station”. 

- 5) The Trust has submitted entries for the Community Rail Awards 2024, the St Stephen Parish Council ‘Community Awards’ and intends to submit an entry to the Heritage Railway Association Awards and National Railway Heritage Awards. 

Our priorities for the next 12 months are as follows: 

- 1) To finish the remaining building / restoration tasks. 

- 2) To adopt a ‘business as usual’ management system which ensures that the building is sustainably and safely managed for the long term. 

- 3) To actively market the station building for community use outside of Tea Room opening hours, hence creating new revenue streams. 

- 4) To win awards.
