The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 Ithe Charities Act and that an independent examination is needed. followthe procedures laid down in the general directions gNen bythe Chartty Commission {under sectlon 14515llbl of the Charitie5 Act): and state whether particular matters have come to our attention Rlsk Management The trustees review the major risks the charity faces on a regular basis and believe that the transfer of operations to a CIO combined with an annual review of the controls over key financial systems continues to provide sufficient resources in the event of adverse conditions. The Trustees agreed, at a committee meetin& held on the 28. April 2025, to hold a minimum of £3O.cAX). in CIO saving5 account held at HSBC a5 further Risk Management. This is an increase of IOK on the preVuS year. We are currentlv perfom)ing above this level. The minirnum will be reviewed in 2025 to account for increases of running Costs. Governance risks and signlficant events The Pre-school received an UnannoUnd visit from OFSTED on 24 Feb 2025. Was recommend that when we accept a dbs. it is forthe same'role, and'workforce,, so she would advise obtaining new one5. Whenlif new staff join, ensure the same. It is best practice to have DBS every 3 years, and some are older. so it's good to encourage staff to join the update scheme. I questioned about one DBS that was on the update scheme, but because it was on a dbs that Stated 'volunteer'. she said it wouldn't be sufficient if police did a check. - To meet EYFS requirements, The Manager notes on each dbs check. who obtained the chetk and date. This will be recorded OFSfED stated it will be added to our OFSTED inspettion record online. and DBS will be noted as a 'discussion point,. There was no other issues or recommendations. Haxey CIO updated the safeguarding policy on 15 May 2025. Due to changes being made to the EYFS and legislation, the template received from the council was used to cover all requirements. Changes include: New definition of Neglect. Physical abuse and Sexual abuse Named person of contart (Naomi) where a stsff member needs to tomplain above management for a whatever reason Mention of lockdown policy Mention of smart watches being prohibited for use as a camera (they can be worn, but not Used for anything other than time telling when wtth the children)

The pre-school continues to flourish under the new manager and deputy manager appoirited in late 2020. We continue to strNe in order to ensure that the board of trustees best represent the children who currently attend the setting. Independent Examiner A resolution to reappoint Anthony Matthews as Independent Examiner to the CIO was approved by the trustees meeting held on the 22nd September 2025.
