durlng tho year
Th• Club was able to organlse a number of fundraising events
durlng the year whlch included a Fireworks Fiesta, Golf Day, Muslc
in the Park, Classic Cars Display and Raft Race. Along side these
major events other social events and Christmas collectlons together
with donatlons reeelvod boosted the funds ralsed to £46,719
following deduction of all costs associated with the events.
Utlllslng brought forward funds tho actual spend of Wolfarn during
the yearwas £62,713, The maln beneficiaries belng Oakl•af. Food
Banks, Jlgsaw School, Sight for Surray and Guildford Action.
In addltlon to the abov•, numerous Indlvlduals recelved flnanclal
support following a careful assessment of their need. Also we were
able to 5UPPOrt five local schools wlth fundlng for a pupll
asslstsnce programme.
The Club also supports programme$ organl$ed by Llons Clubs
Internatlonal and localty promotes the Message In a Bottl• schome
along wlth oryanlsed recycllng of unwanted spectacles.
We also contlnue to provlde a paty for senlor cluzens whlch ontalls
coll•cting them from varlous homes In the Borough provldlng them
wlth a tea and entsrtalnment and rthmlng them to th•lr
accommodatlon.
Gulldford Llons Club arn ploasgd to have been ablo to a8818t
Gulldford Borough Councll by provldlng volunteer stewards forthfr
significant memorial and c•lebratory events held in the town.
