TRUSTEES' REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 1ST APRIL 2024

INTRODUCTION:

This report of ministry activities is from January to November of 2024 for the simple reason that we are submitting our annual accounts and director’s report earlier this year in comparison to previous years. For the future I suggest that the director’s report covers events running in line with the northern hemisphere academic year from September to August.

In 2024 we have held conferences, crusades, encounters, church services, regional tours, and online training always in conjunction with local churches. Principally these events have been held in Brazil. I have drawn information about these events from my personal journal.

This report is divided into sections:

  1. List of Campaigns and Conferences

  2. Other Initiatives

  3. Relocation

2. OTHER STRATEGIES

• Schools Work – Daniel Stevens, our schools evangelist, launched his initiative called Aviva Schools. At general assemblies he presents a motivational word to help students overcome anxiety, depression, and suicidal tendencies. These have been particularly fruitful. In three months he had over 3000 students give their lives to Christ.

• Radical Tours – Titus Stevens, our university evangelist, in conjunction with his brother Daniel, has launched Radical Tours. These mobilize youth groups to make presentations in schools and hold youth rallies in town squares in the evening. Many churches in various cities around Brazil have asked for them to come. It is noteworthy that Titus was elected as President of the Student Association at Oral Robert’s University, an announcement made by University President Dr Bill Wilson. His position and responsibilities will give him further influence and connection with ministries in the US and around the world.

• MasterClasses – we continued until April with our monthly online masterclasses for an Englishspeaking group and for a Portuguese-speaking group.

• Radio – our weekly radio broadcasts continues to air on Wednesday mornings at 9am with a word of encouragement and prayer for listeners.

• Booklet Distribution – we continue to distribute freely our evangelistic booklets. These have been handed out in schools and hospitals as well as from house to house.

3. RELOCATION:

We are now planning to relocate from Brazil to the USA in order to initiate an International Mission School in conjunction with The Vine Church, Fort Myers in Florida. The school has been accredited to offer diplomas for its English Language Course and is applying for the same for its Bible Seminary Course. This being the case we will be able to receive foreign students on the F1 Student Visa to come to study. The English course will be accompanied by an option to join our regular devotionals and other activities in the church. On the granting of status for the Seminary, we will offer select places to international students as well as local Americans with a full-time ministry call. Our vision is to train them to return to their nations and start new churches. Being based in Southern Florida also facilitates our international travel and means that we would be able to travel to South America and Europe, Africa and Asia faster and cheaper.

At the time of writing, we have had our documentation approved by the Immigration Department and have been advised by the attorney to return to the UK to interview at the US embassy in order to receive our visas.

During this application period we will serve churches in the UK and Europe and hope to move to the US from London by the end of 2024.

Inde endent Examiner’s Re ort to the Trustees of The Great Mission p p

Report on the accounts for the year ended 1st April 2023 Independent Examiner’s Report to the Trustees of The Great Mission

Responsibilities and Basis of Report

As trustees of The Great Mission, you are responsible for ensuring that the charity's accounts are prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ("the 2011 Act").

I report on my independent examination of the charity’s accounts for the year ended 1st April 2024, which has been conducted under Section 145 of the 2011 Act. In carrying out my examination, I have adhered to the applicable Directions issued by the Charity Commission under Section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act.

Independent Examiner’s Statement

I have completed my examination and confirm that no matters have come to my attention which give me cause to believe that, in any material respect:

  1. The charity has failed to maintain accounting records as required under Section 130 of the 2011 Act;

  2. The accounts do not align with the accounting records; or

  3. The accounts do not comply with the relevant requirements concerning their form and content as set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008, excluding any requirement to provide a "true and fair view," which is outside the scope of this independent examination.

Furthermore, I have no concerns and have not identified any matters that, in my opinion, require attention to ensure a proper understanding of the accounts.
