The charity has two-tier structure: Board of Trustees and volunteers.

There are two groups of volunteers. One group of volunteers is focused on children’s educational and recreational programmes and working with the parents.

The other group of volunteers focus on the spiritual wellbeing of the community and are responsible for organising events, prayers, promoting respect for all faiths and communities.

In the period under review, educational classes for children were held on Saturdays from 11am to 2:15pm up to March 2020 when the phase one of the Covid-19 national lockdown started. Phase 1 of the Covid-19 lockdown in March, April, and May the charity was completely closed, but then we learnt how to engage and provide service to the community through social medial channels – You Tube, Zoom and Facebook. Saturday Classes are now offered online using Zoom App. We are now reaching communities beyond our geographical region which was not the case prior to March 2020.

c) Monthly tea party. The aim of this was to allow ladies to get to know each other and discuss some important topics on self-development, spiritual and physical health. Pat Rice who spoke about the importance of staying active and its affect on the physical and spiritual body.

From May to the end of October 2020 when the Government lifted some of the lockdown restrictions, we were able to hold the Muhurram event under strict Covid-19 safety measures in compliance with the local authority and government guidelines. Due to social distancing requirements the structure of the programme was changed where two sessions were held each day for 10 nights.

From March 2020 onwards we could not hold many of the planned events, classes and programmes within the premises due to Covid-19 restrictions. Nevertheless, IMAM Organisation UK is now a wellestablished charity thanks to its presence and services offered through social media channels, we are seeing donations coming from outside of our locality from members of the public who believe in the work we are undertaking.

Section D Achievements and performance

Summary of the main Children sat MUS exams and achieved outstanding results. achievements of the charity during the year Successful conference event called ‘Gateway to Knowledge’ building bridges between Muslims and Christians.

Monthly tea party prior to lockdown as detailed in the Summary of main activities.

Despite the restrictions and limitations caused by Covid-19 the charity provided its services through its social media channels YouTube, Facebook and Zoom. As a result of this IMAM Organisation UK is now a known charity outside its locality.

The trustees have reviewed the reserves of the charity. Their policy is to hold enough funds to meet operating costs and grow reserves with the intention of buying the premises. This will help to reduce the monthly rental payments.

Responsibilities and As the charity’s trustees of the Company (who are also the directors basis of report of the company for the purposes of company law), you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 (“the 2006 Act”). Having satisfied myself that the accounts of the Company are not required to be audited for this year under Part 16 of the 2006 Act and are eligible for independent examination, I report in respect of my examination of your charity’s accounts as carried out under section 145 of the Charities Act 2011 (“the 2011 Act”). Note 2 Accounting policies 2.2 INCOME

This standard list of accounting policies has been applied by the charity except for those ticked "No" or "N/a". Where a different or additional policy has been adopted then this is detailed in the box below.

Recognition of income These are included in the Statement of Financial Activities (SoFA) when:
• the charity becomes entitled to the resources;
· it is more likely than not that the trustees will receive the resources; and
• the monetary value can be measured with sufficient reliability.
There has been no offsetting of assets and liabilities, or income and expenses, unless required or
