Praying Simply Trustee’s annual report
The status of Praying Simply is set to a WAITING status as it seeks to raise funds to continue its mission. The website and materials for Praying Simply have been built and are available on prayingsimply.com, but until further funds are secured, the content required to drive the Praying Simply programme remain unfinished and unpublished.
As a result of lack of funding, the intention is to keep Praying Simply open, and keep the website live, as an example to future funders to see that the groundwork has been laid to build a successful programme. Until future funding is attained, the website will stay live and will be maintained.
Volunteers
Praying Simply currently has no volunteers as the programmes are not up and running yet.
Aims and Purposes
The aim and purposes of Praying Simply is to connect audiences to an experience of contemplative prayer through innovative digital resources and materials. These will be designed to create an online journey for participants who will learn about what contemplative prayer is, how to pray simply, and to understand the role of contemplative prayer in today’s world.
Praying Simply will be a digital platform for engaging audiences with contemplative prayer practices, and will be based on a journey where audiences can learn about how to pray simply, understand what a contemplative approach is, and then look to use a contemplative outlook to life.
The resources will be built on storytelling methodologies that will help users and participants to connect to a deeper motivational connection as to why they should pray simply.
Objectives and initiatives
The objectives and initiatives of the programme are on pause until further funding is secured.
The ambition is to create resources to go on the website that will be both informative and educational, connecting audiences to contemplative practices – i.e. how to pray simply.
Structure
The current structure is dormant, as no-one is currently working on Praying Simply. Kieran O’Brien, founder of Praying Simply, is working to secure funds from possible funders. This requires building a funding pack and presentation to possible funders.

Financial review
In the reported period no monies was raised and no monies was spent. The cost of the website is an ongoing cost, but it is being kindly paid for by Kieran O’Brien. The costs are £440 per annum for a live website and hosting costs.
