## Section D Achievements and performance

## **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**

We were pleased to welcome new members in 2024/25 and our members across all categories remains circa 250.

The vibrancy of the club continues to flourish and the majority of club opening times (especially times previously underutilised) are now utilised by different groups including 2 weekday sessions attended by retirees and mature members, club practice nights on Monday for team players, taster sessions on a Tuesday and Thursday evening run by the coaching staff and well attended social play sessions on Wednesday evening and Sunday morning.

We continue to run our inclusive tennis programme and we have a group of disabled young adults (Peppercorns) who have been coming for nearly 6 years now and continue to have coached tennis sessions every week on a Tuesday.

The new members that have joined over the past few years have integrated well, and the social aspects of club membership have flourished amongst the members with many finding it a source of stability, fun and friendship in these difficult financial times.

Our free pay n play membership continues to provide accessibility to top class tennis courts for those in the community who do not wish to become full members but just to play as and when they are able.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 01/05/2025 **DD / MM / YYYY** . **Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the **basis of report** accounts in accordance with the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

**Independent examiner's statement** I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention (other than that disclosed below *) in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect,:

- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act; or

- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or

- the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
