Main Achievements 2025

received approval for its plans to renovate the interior of St John's Church but has as yet not made any formal request for funding from the Friends of Keswick St John. This is however expected in early 2026.

Consequently, the trustees have been able to put further funds on deposit to accrue a better interest rate. Fund raising has continued with another successful Daodil Tea at Greta Gardens, by kind permission of the manager, and a well-attended Quiz night in October. We have been encouraged to receive a generous legacy during the year.

New members have joined the Friends though sadly we have lost members through death too. Our numbers remain stable and the trustees have looked at ways of increasing the membership.

We are very grateful to all those who continue to support the Friends and raise funds for future projects. We rely on a very small team, especially of the trustees but also kindly assisted by other members of St John’s who bake and help with events.

guidance and have regard to this when running the charity. The guidance is available on the Charity commission’s gov.uk website.
