## **Tingewick Community Park Trust Annual Report 2024-2025**

After many years of trying to provide a modern, clean and useable sports pavilion the village can be proud of, we are pleased to announce that we are finally there.

Over the years we have been held up by assorted restrictive planning conditions, unexpected major gas pipe routes and with each delay, an ever-rising build cost.

In February this year, after seeing a tv programme about pre-assembled modular units, we decided to investigate these further. We found a company who manufactured them explained our needs and they suggested we visit Hemel Hempstead rugby club, where the company had previously supplied the type of unit we were looking at. We went to view them, and they were ideal for our needs.

The first unit is a 40 x10 unit that provides 2 changing rooms for home and visiting teams, plus a separate changing room for the referee. Wooden benches with hooks above are fitted all around the changing room plus 3 Toilets and 5 showers are also included.

The second unit is a 30 x 10 welfare cabin which will offer the kitchen facilities that can be used for any event held at the rec ground. This will also have the dual benefit of an accessible toilet installed, which can be made available without accessing the main welfare room.

An order was accordingly placed, with the addition of 2 weatherproof double sockets to the larger unit and 1 double to the welfare unit, plus an outside tap and are due to arrive on site June 2025.

Our builder is presently installing the temporary road tracking to enable the delivery lorries access to the area. He is also installing 12 concrete base pads that the units will stand on. In addition to connecting up all the existing mains services, the electric water and drains are all in position from the previous building, so they just need reconnecting up on delivery and it will be ready to use. These facilities have been long awaited, and we are more than delighted to finally have them in place.

In addition, we have had plans drawn up for updating the childrens play area, both for our smaller residents and the younger people in the village. We are also looking to complete a much-needed carpark at the rec ground too. A new entrance gate to ease disabled access and access for those with buggies and prams will also be installed.

To enable all this, we have applied for a grant from HS2 for help with these additional costs and at present are waiting to hear if we have been successful.

With this project finally being delivered we now have the opportunity to offer these facilities to other sports clubs in the surrounding area.
