We have a passion fruit and rosemary nursery to support widows and those deemed as most vulnerable within the community. We have a goat project which provides members of the community with a pregnant goat, when their goat gives birth and the young is at an age when it can leave its mother it is given to another member of the community. Each member who receives a goat signs to commit to given their first and fifth Kid to another member of the community. A goat is of great benefit and highly regarded for providing an income to assist with school fee’s, health care, funerals and other expenses incurred. It has been a privilege to work with the community of Gibumbuni, they have been active participants in the planning and delivering of all our projects. This has created ownership and enthusiasm to make positive life changes. More children are now receiving an education.
