children on a term time basis.
We provide a feeding programme to
ensure all children attending the school
have breakfast each morning consisting
of warm porridge and soya beans.
We have a tailoring programme for
young mothers who left school during
COVID.
We have a rabbit rearing project for
male youth in the community.
We have a passion fruit and rosemary
nursery to support widows and those
deemed as most vulnerable within the
community.
We have a goat project which provides
members of the community with a
pregnant goat, when their goat gives
birth and the young is at an age when it
can leave its mother it is given to
another member of the community.
Each member who receives a goat signs
to commit to given their first and fifth
Kid to another member of the
community. A goat is of great benefit
and highly regarded for providing an
income to assist with school fee’s,
health care, funerals and other
expenses incurred.
It has been a privilege to work with the
community of Gibumbuni, they have
been active participants in the planning
and delivering of all our projects. This
has created ownership and enthusiasm
to make positive life changes. More
children are now receiving an
education. Individuals and families are
benefiting from receiving training in
developing small scale businesses and
creating a better standard of living a
sustainable future.
