Achievements and performance
We raised funds of £26,035, mainly from fetes, BBQS and our Christmas
dOOr-t￿d0Or and street collections. In addition, we received other
donations and gfft aid recovery to the value of £4,542 and grants and
donations specifically t(Miards replacing our minibus of £7,845

during the year
£11, 196 was put to charitab￿ use over the period.
Of this over £6k was granted to local organisations. A little over £lk was
also donated to individuals in need, mainly in the fomi of essential
household items, and food hampers. We supported local yOLrth to the
tune of just over £1,350.
Our minibus, used mainly to transport the elderfy and infimi logether with
some use free of charge by other charitable organisations, cost £2.4k for
us to operate.
In addition, an amount of just over £2.5k was donated to Lions Club
Intemational Foundation (LCIF) for disaster relief around the worfd.
All of our local adminBtstive costs and dues to our National and
Intemational {LCI) offices together with our social costs are paid for by
members, subscriptions and Gontributions.
During the year we purchased a replacement second hand minibus at a
net cost of £29,110.

We aim to reSe￿e approximately a yeavs charity giving (an average of
the wevious three years). This would enable us to cary on providing
support even rf our fundraising were to fail to deliver for the period.
We also have a reserve (£2,750 at the end of our year) to a¢comm¢xlate
major repairs and the eventual repla￿ment of our minibus.

I report on the a¢counts of the charity for the year ended 30 June 2024. which are Set out on the
following page.
Respective responsibilitle5 of trustees and exaffliner
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The trustees consider that
an audit is not required for this year under sertion 144121 of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act)
and that an independent examination is needed.

Basis of independent examinerfs report
My examination was carrÉed out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity
Commission. An examination includes a review of the actounting records kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented with those record5. It also include5 consideration of any
unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explar)ations from you as trustees
concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would
be required in an audit and consequently I do not exp￿$5 an audit opinion on the view given by the
accounts.
