Summary of Main Activities
This year, we saw some real successes. We kicked the year off with a fantastic Quiz Night. Then we saw the return of our fabulous Xmas Fete, where we also had a Santa's Grotto. We participated in the Big PTA Xmas Cash Draw and held our own Xmas and Summer Raffles. We also raised funds through Smile Amazon. We held our ever popular Break The Rules Day and a Non-Uniform Day, and we had a Film Night and two School Discos as well. We sold ice lollies every week throughout the Summer term, (at our ever popular 'Ice Lollies Friday's') and continued to sell our beautiful Tea Towels too. With these funds, we were able to contribute towards various things on the school staff's 'Wish Lists', through our Class Funding Pots, and we contributed towards the cost of Coach Hire, so that every class could go on a Class Trip. We were also able to help the school to buy the Big Cats Phonics Books package, to continue to develop their whole-school reading and literacy programmes. We invested in a Sum Up Machine, to make payments easier in this ever-more cashless world, and we also bought some Gazebos, to provide more opportunity for outdoor events to happen. We were able to give the children a few extra treats throughout the year too, including: Christmas Trees, for that festive feel; Sweet Treats from the Easter Bunny; end of term Forest School Treats; Welcome Morning Pastries for the Cygnet's Families; a special visit from an Ice Cream Van for the Year 6 Leavers at the end of the year; as well as Books for the Cygnets, from their Year 6 buddies.

Reserves policy
The reserves that we have set aside provide financial stability and the means for achieving our objectives. We intend to maintain our reserves at a level which is at least 6 months of expenditure. We intend to use the reserves for the benefit of the school children, including contributions to support the school staff's 'wish list'. The trustees review the amount of reserves that are required to ensure that they are adequate to fulfil our continuing obligations.

Independent examination
I have performed an independent examination of the annual report and accounts of Friends of Cropredy School PTFA for the year ended 31 August 2023, and confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in relation to: maintenance of accounting records; agreement between accounting records and the accounts; and compliance of the accounts with the Charities (Accounts and Reports) regulations 2008.
