The organisation remains in the early stages of its operations and at present continues to consider whether or not its plans are viable. Consideration is being given to how or indeed whether to progress the project. There are some current opportunities in the Lower Tweedside Area for the project and so consideration is ongoing.

## The objects of the charity are:
3.1 to promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of Horncliffe and the surrounging areas the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the condition of life of the said inhabitants; and **Summary of the objects of the charity set out in** 3.2 to promote for the benefit of the public the conservation **its governing document** protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment.
and to carry out these purposes through establishing and thereafter conserving and protecting a community wood, its wildlife, flora and fauna to be known as Grinham's Wood at Horncliffe, for the benefit of the public. The sole activity undertaken to date has been to explore the possibility of acquiring land at Horncliffe for the establishment of Grinham's Wood and to conduct some initial planning with regard to the implementation of the project.
