Trustees’ Annual Report
The number and identity of the charity’s Trustees remains unchanged.
The financial position of the charity improves due largely to the efforts of the Trustees in organising and encouraging events and hirings which generate income.
At the end of the year the Trustees initiated an appeal to reinstate the Open Gardens for the village which is a major revenue generator and 2024 will see this take place with a boost to finances.
The Trustees are particularly proud of the fact that events which brought the community together, from the village and beyond, were becoming increasing popular and successful and comprised of singing workshops, sporting activities, lectures, quizzes, dances and Pub nights.
The kitchen which was refurbished in 2023 encourages users to hire the hall for important events like wedding receptions, memorial events and meetings.
Optimism is high for 2024 although the task of pursuing grants for essential upgrades and maintenance will need to be renewed.
