The CIO has been formed to take over the activities of Liss Community Association reg charity number 1050032. The CIO provides limited liability for the trustees and a modernised constitution. No transfer was made to the CIO whilst the purchase of the land and buildings known as The Triangle (Community) Centre was negotiated with Hampshire County Council. The negotiations concluded satisfactorily and it was agreed that the CIO would purchase The Triangle Centre for £1. The purchase completed on 27 March 2020. Whilst recognising the challenges of maintaining the fabric of what was the old Victorian village school, the trustees believe that direct ownership of the building will allow it to be secured indefinitely for the local community.
