Achievements and Perfonnance
SORP refer6n
Summary oflhe main
achievements of the charity,
identrfying the difference the
charity's work has made to
the GircLfmstan¢es of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
In addition to the standard provision of
services to players and their families the
Charity has made a number of significant
achievements during this year, despite the
challenge51 constraints of the cost of living
crisis.
-We've continued to grow in numbers and
ensure sustainability through funding,
recruiting more volunteers and linking in with
FE organisations.
Para 1.20
-To support the growth in numbers, we have
continued to engage with a number of North
West based Universities to provide
opportunities for phy510therapy students to
access vital experience when placements were
very hard to come by for them. This in turn
enabled us to use them as play facilitators in
our early years and complex needs football
provision. This collaboration and links with
further educatlon establishments is something
we have continued to engage with and develop
duiing the past 12 months.
-we have established a stronger partnership
with Manchester Metropolitan University to
support advanced players aged 14 and above
with their physical development. As part of this
link with MMU a select group of players visited
the Institute of Sport in April last year and will
again this year, where they will have access to
state of the art facilities and experiences time
in the lab taking part in numerous athlete
testing activities. This served as a massive
motivation and highlighted to the group just
how capable they are as athletes, it also
Irispired some to consider university as a
realistic option for them to access. We are also
in talks with MMU about their wanvinterest to
use CPUFC as a research based study to
lilghlighr the benefit of taking part in a team
sport for people with CP.
-we have recruited more volLFnteers to assist in
the delivery of the football programme i.e.
parent5 and young leaders who have become
play facilitators and parents who have become
qualified coaches.
-one of our coaches won the volunteer of the
year award at the Steve Morgan Foundation
Awards and with this CPUFC recetved Iok
worth of unrestricted funding.

-Another of our coaches won grassroots
disability coach of the year with Manchester
FA. These awards are testament to the coaches
who received them. but also to the club in
being recognised for having excellent
volunteers who go above and beyond and are
fantastic at what they do.
-we have maintained long term regional
facilities to support all football sessions across
the region and further developed and
strengthened our relationship with Trafford
leisure who we book our main facilities with,
this has enabled us to keep costs as low as
possible and also have input into a mo
inclusive facility that benefrts the wider
community. From this our coaches have also
been supporting a community program run bv
Trafford leisure and Manchester FA for
children and adults who are blind or have a
visual impairment.
-we won the Promoting Inclusion award at last
vearfs prestigious North West Football Awards.
-we delivered our first celebration of women
and girls in football event last March and have
our second event one booked in for this
coming March.
-In May we were invited by UEFA to take a
group of childrer¢ to London to take part in the
UEFA Champions League fan park event.
We took a group of our adult players to play at
a tournament in Ireland.
-we continue to have a great partnership with
Vesey and are a Nike Partner club. They
provide kit which is an essential part of
promoting inclusivity, belonging and
connection.
-we continue to have a community partnership
with Warburtons who provide us with baked
goods every week for our Saturday Breakfast
and Bruch clubs, this r>ot only create a sense of
community and a welcoming environment, but
it also helps us to support families durin8 the
cost of living Crisis.
-we have been chosen by CP Sport and the FA
to be one of 6 National hubs for women and
glrls to access CP specific football.

-we had great success with fundraising this
past 12 months both with 2 internal events and
