and 3 of the attached.
Respedive responsibilities of trustee and independent examiner
The Charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The Charity's trustees
consider that an audit is not required for this year {under section 43(2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the
1993 Act)) and that an independent examination is need¢d.
It is my responsibility to
Examine the accounts (under section 43{3)(a) of the 1993 Act)
Follow the procedures laid down in the Generdl Directions given by th¢ Charity Commissioners
(under section 43(7)(b) of the 1993 Act). and
Stat¢ whether particular matters have come to my attenlion.
This report is made solely to the Trustees of The Pla¢¢ in a¢cordan¢e with the Charities Act 1993. My
work has been undertaken so that I might state to the Trustees those matters I am r¢quir¢d lo in an
examiner's report and for no other PUTpose. To the fullest extent pem)itt¢d by law, I do not accept or
assume responsibility to anyone other than the Trustees of The Place for my work. for this report. or for
the opinions I have fonned.
BASIS of independent examiner's report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Direction for Independent Examination
issued by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept
by tlie Charity and a comparison of the ac¢ounts presented with those records. It also includ¢s
consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in th¢ accounts and seeking of explanations from you
as trustees concerning such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that
would b¢ required if a full audit was undertaken, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on
the view given by the accounts.
Examiner's statement
In conne¢tion with my examination, no matter has ¢om¢ to my attention:
(l ) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in 8ny material respect the requirements:
to keep ac¢ounting records in accordance with Section 41 of the Act.. and
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting rewrds and to comply with the
accounting requiretnents of the Act, have not been met. or
(2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a pro]Kr understanding
of the accounts to be reached.
