Jency Thomas The poliry of the Charity is determined by the trustees who meet regularly. The trustees have been fully engaged in overseeing the operational needs of the charity. This is achieved through regular formal and informal meetings. The trustees are appointed by the board of trustees. There are informal procedures for induction and training of new trustees. Trustees are also encouraged to attend external briefings and training courses. The trustees continue to monitor and review major risks which the charity is exposed to and where necessary control and implement systems and procedures to manage those risks. Objectives In sethng our objectives, and planning our activities, trustees have given careful consideration to Charity Commission's guidelines on public benefit. Main objectives of the Charity: l. The advancement of catholic religion, mainly but not limited to, by conducting religious conventions, prayer meetings, holly mass and other religious activities for the benefit of the public, in the language of Malayalam and English and other languages as the trustees may seem fit from time to time, in the United Kingdom or in any other country as the trustee may decide from time to time. 2. Spreading gospel by means of preaching and broadcasting or publication of religious t v programmes, videos, printed materials such as religious books, prayer books, magazines, newspapers and other publications in all forms of media as the trustees seems fit from time to time, anywhere in the world but mainly in the United Kingdom. 3. The relief of poverty or financial hardship anywhere in the world by providing financial aid or donations to the poor and needy either directly by the charity or through other charities or institutions engaged in activities that are intended to prevent poverty or provide relief to the poor and needy. 4. Provide financial assistance to charities and religious organisations enEaged in the advancement of catholic religion or prevention of poverty or relief to the poor anywhere in the world. Activities During the year, Charity ha5 organised various prayer meetings, Night Vigil, Holy Mass and retreats in pursuance of its objectives of advancement of Catholic Religion. During the year, the charity has provided financial aid of £19,37012023.. £17,572) to poor people in India, Bangladesh and Africa in line with its objective of relief to poverty. Marian Vibes is also an initiative of Mariyan Sainyam World Mission, to make use of the modern media as a means of new evangelization. This ministry IS totally at the service of the Church. It seeks to uphold jushce without prejudice and defend fearlessly the Catholic position in the new media where the Church is under attack from different corners. About 50 voluntary workers are serving in this ministry worldwide. Now were able to reach many visitors for the portal. We raised fund for Africa and provided to promote basic education for poor children, borewell for drinking water and for clothes, food and accessories as well. We have arranged food bank support to the required people in the UK during the period. Financial review The charity's principal funding source is from donations and related gift aid receipts of £28,667 12023= £31,508) Reserve policy It is policy of the charity to maintain unrestricted funds at a level which equates to approximately three months unrestricted expenditure. This provides sufficient funds to cover management and administration and support costs.
