(1) To promote and advance agriculture and horticulture for the benefit of the public in Torridge and surrounding areas by holding exhibitions and classes of breeding and other stock, agricultural implements and such other classes, displays and exhibitions connected with agriculture and the show as may be determined by the trustees.

The trustees held an agricultural show at Clovelly Court on 29[th] July. The weather was hot, and a good day was had by all.

We had good support from local traders and livestock exhibitors. Our handicraft exhibits were well up – perhaps due to a new online entry system.

Classes for horses, cattle sheep, fleeces, dogs and handicrafts were held, and information provided to the public during the judging of these. Specialist sheep and cattle marquees provided detailed information on various aspects of animal husbandry.

A food and farming marquee allowed local producers to promote their foods, and sell direct to the public.
