|||||effectively<br>cancelled<br>and the restrictions<br>necessary<br>to maintain<br>Public|
|||||Health rendered<br>operation<br>ofour Community<br>History Tours impractical.|
|||||Regrettably<br>we<br>had<br>to cancel<br>what<br>would<br>have<br>been<br>our<br>twentieth|
|||||Teesside 500 Group Annual<br>Running<br>Day which<br>had been scheduled<br>to|
|||||take place in April 2020.|
|||||Prior to the<br>Covid-19<br>"lockdown"<br>our<br>vehicles<br>attended<br>two<br>events|
|||||organised<br>by other bus preservation<br>groups:|

|||||to be fully<br>re-panelled<br>and<br>repainted<br>into the green,<br>white<br>and<br>yellow|
|||||livery<br>it wore when<br>new into service with Cleveland<br>Transit<br>in 1995. The|
|||||restoration<br>was completed<br>the following<br>month<br>at a cost of p5,800, this|
|||||being-fully-funded<br>by specific donations<br>from the CIO members.|
|||||The restoration<br>was undertaken<br>to a very<br>high<br>standard<br>and<br>received|
|||||generous<br>coverage<br>in<br>national<br>bus<br>enthusiast<br>and<br>transport<br>industry|
|||||magazines.|
|||||Although<br>internal<br>restoration<br>has still to be undertaken,<br>two rolls of the|
|||||authentic<br>original<br>seating<br>moquette<br>have been purchased<br>at a cost of|
|||||f550.<br>This<br>will be sufficient<br>to recover<br>all of the vehicle's<br>passenger|
|||||seats.|

|Summary<br>ofthe main<br>achievements<br>ofthe charity<br>during the year|||In the Teesside 500Group's<br>third year as a charity, we have restored<br>Volvo Olympian<br>M223SVN into the Cleveland<br>Transit green livery it wore<br>when new in 1995.Although<br>our second Volvo Olympian,<br>R833OVN still<br>awaits restoration, a replacement<br>engine was purchased<br>during the year.|
||||Regrettably<br>our participation<br>at a full programme<br>ofattendance<br>at histor'ic|
||||vehicle rallies and other events was curtailed due to Covid-19, as was|
||||most ofour support to local history and cultural tours.|
||||Nonetheless<br>we have also continued<br>to develop<br>links with local museums|
||||and other local transport<br>history charities for the purpose ofdeveloping|
||||an archive of historic material.|
