Ctr AiliJ b/iANACF.M.LNT Adopt a Bull Terrier Rescue IAaBTRI registered charity no 1175565, operates in England and Wales to assist in the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of Bull Terriers, Bulldog5, French Bulldogs, Pugs and cross breeds for example Frugs in need or at risk. Charity status was granted in November 2017 with 3 Trustees appointed to support this work. As two of the trustees are related to each other it was decided to appoint a per50r¢ outside of the rescue to offer an unbiased view. Mark W Tonge Nicole Tonge Georgina L Slater Al Pd,.! & O B. r,-.Til/ES For the benefit of the public to relieve the sijffering of dogs in need of care and attention and, in particular. to provide and maintain rescue homes or other facilities for the reception, care and treatment of such dogs. We are one of the few rescues which help to Ca for disabled bull terriers which suffer from a condition known as LAD (Lethal Acrodermatitisl, these special little bull terriers are lovingly known as Zincies. They suffer from dwarfism, skin issues and shortened palates. With the correct medical attention these little dogs can Ilve up to 6 year5. AaBTR continue to be actively involved in the rescue and rehabilitation of French Bulldogs and associated crosses as well as Bull Terriers. AaBTR are committed to making an impact on the rescue of dogs in difficult Sltuations, abandoned, in dog pounds and those on death row and strive to ensure safe & loving homes are found for all those dogs that come into our care. AaBTR is run purely on a voluntary basis. All dogs are neuteredlspayed, vaccinated and microchlps updated. AaBTR have partnered with Agria Pet Insurance and going forward all dogs will have 5 weeks free pet insurance to give adopters piece of mind. AaBTR provide back up to all dogs adopted from this rescue. As such, we help our adoptees if their Insurance does not cover the full vet bill, we will also offer supporr on a case by case ba515. There are some dogs we have taken Into our rescue which have long term health issues. We support these dogs and their owners when needed. FINAillf.IAL gEPORT Income for the period totalled £11.350 with expenditure of £14,604 resulting in a defictt for the period of -£3254. Combined with the opening cash funds balance of É106,606 glves a closin8 cash funds balance of £103,351. The trustees consider that an audlt is not required for this year undef sectlon144121 of the Charities Act 2011 Ithe 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is needed. ADOPT A BULL TERRIER RESCUE REPORT OFTHE TRUSTEES FOR THE PERIOO ENOED 31 MARCH 2024 R-VIEW OF THE PERIOD We have rescuedlrehomed 19 Bull Terriers/French Bulldogs from April 2023 to 31 March 2024. REGISTERED CHARITY NUMBER 1175565 All dogs are assessed prior to being taken under our win& unfortunately we cannot take any dogs known to have bitten or shown aggression as we cannot and will not put our fosterers or adopters at risk. All dogs which come into our rescue are health checked, vacclnated, neutered andlor spayed las long as they meet the required criteria taking into account age andlor existing medical conditions). Our members help by fostering and adoptin& doing home checks, assessing dogs, and helplng with the transport of dogs to their new homes. As a rescue, we a150 conduct follow up reviews and provide ongoing support and advice to all our rescue dogs and their adopters. The financial position is strong at the statement of financial position date. The charity continues to rely on fundraising and donations to 5UPPOrt its work. Our member5 have continued to be very supportive with their donations. Vet bills remain our biggest and most necessary cost however, we have fomied partnerships with several veterinary practices to endeavour to keep costs to a minimum; obtaining discounts on day-to-day surgeries such as spaying and neutering and also more complex surgeries where in-house h05pitalisation is necessary.
