Adopt a Bull Terrier Rescue IAaBTRI registered charity no 1175565, operates in England and Wales to assist
in the rescue, rehabilitstion and rehomin8 of Bull Terrlers, Bulldog5, French Bulldogs, Pugs and cross b￿ed5
for example Frugs in need or at risk. Charity status was granted in November 2017 with 3 Trustees appointed
to support thi5 work, As two of the trustees are ￿lated to each other it was decided to appoint a person
outside of the rescue to offer an unbiased view.

For the benefit of the public to relieve the suffering of do85 in need of tare and attention and, in particular,
to provide and maintain rescue homes or other facilities for the reception. care and treatment of such dogs.
We are one of the few rescue5 which help to care for dlsabled bull terriers which suffer from a condition
know[7 as LAD (Lethal Acrodermatitis), these speclal little bull terrier5 are lovingly known as Zincies. They
suffer from dwarfism. skin issues and shortened palates. Wlth the correct medical attentlon these little dogs
can live up to 6 years.
AaBTR continue to be actively involved in the rescue and rehabilitation of French Bulldogs and associated
crosses as well a5 Bull Terriers.
AaBTR a￿ committed to making an impact on the rescue of dogs in di)Ticult situatlons, abandoned, in d08
pounds and those on death row and strive to ensure safe & loving homes are found for all those dogs that
come into our care. AaBTR is run purety on a voluntary basls. All dogs are neutered/spayed. vaccinated and
microchips updated.
AaBTR have partnered with Agria Pet Insurance and 80in8 forward all dogs will have 5 weeks free pet
insurance to give adopters piece of mind.
The COVID pandemic that commenced March 2020. was not a situation that could be foreseen or planned
for, thls meant that a lot of rescue activities ceased as we were unable to conduct home checks and dog
assessments etc. There were a150 difficulties in taking existing do8S to vets due to k)ckdown. Funds were
affected due to varying factors, including unable to do more than one socialisation walk. rehoming of dogs
and general outside activities.
FIN,ANCIAL REPOR-I
Income for the period totslled £17,724 wwth expenditure of £5,263 resulting In a surplus for the perlod of
£12,461.
Combined with the opening cash funds balance of £39,365 8ives a ¢10sing cash funds balance of £64,376.
The trustees consider that an aLEdit is not required forthis year under section144121 of the Charities Act
2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is needed. The charity's gross income does not
ex￿ed £250,OLKJ.00

REVIEW OF THE PERIOD
We are now in our third year as a registered charlty and our reputatlon Is Browing as our flnancial report
shows.
We have rescued/rehomed 23 Bull Terriers/French Bulldog5 from April 2020 to 31 March 2021.
The decrease in the number of rescued dogs to previous year5 15 due to the COVID pandemic. We were still
able to operate under Antmal Welfare rules however our intake was low compared to previous year5. We
were able to work wlth another registered charty to help rescue and rehome several Bull Terriers.
All dogs a￿ a55essed prior to being taken under our win& unfortunately we cannot take any dogs known to
have bitten or shown aggression as we cannot and will not put our fosterer5 or adopters at risk. All dogs
which come into our rescue are health checked. vaccinated, neutered andlor spayed las long as they are old
enou8hl.
Our members help by fosterlng and adoptln& dolng home checks. assesslng dogs and helping with the
transport of dogs to thelr new homes. As a rescue, we also conduct follow up reviews and provide on80ing
support and advice to all our rescue dogs and their adopters.
Due to the COVID pandemic we put new appllcatlons and home checks on Tr￿ld. The dogs we did put into
foster and rehomed were put into homes that were already existing fosters or were already approved for
adoption. All COVID rules regarding PPE/sooal distancirE were followed during any handover.
The financial position is Stron8 at the statement of financial posltlon date. The charity continue5 to rety on
fijndraising and donations to support Its work. Again due to the COVID pandemic our fundralsing was
affected. we were unable to run the usual number of Bull Terrier/Frenchie walks, however, we were able to
still run auctions and the annual calendar. Our members have continued to be very supportive with their
donations.
Vet bills remain our biggest and most necessary cost however, we have fomied partnership5 Wlth several
veterinary practices to endeavour to keep costs to a minimum; obtaining discounts on day to day surgeries
such as spaying and neutering and also more complex surgeries where in-house hospitsli5ation is necessary.
