The Objects of the CIO are:- "the advancement of the Orthodox Christian faith and life, according to the teaching and practice of the Orthodox Christian Church as maintained by the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch and all the East of which it is part, and, additionally, the CIO will advance education and carry out any other such charitable purposes in the United Kingdom and/or other parts of the world as may be for the benefit of its members and/or the public generally. "

Public benefit has been delivered in this period by the following: 1. Facilitating due care and diligence in the parishes of the Archdiocese in relation to pastoral care, safeguarding and financial probity among its members and officers.

Theological and practical formation through its online course (E-Quip: http://www.equip-orthodox.com of parish members and clergy in training them to serve their local communities.

Supporting social care in each of the parishes without distinction or discrimination.

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
The Charity has fulfilled its objectives in supporting both the Archbishop, archdiocesan workers and the parishes of the Archdiocese: spiritually, in education, providing public benefit and in good works beneficial to local communities. It has also succeeded in meeting the budgetary requirements to fulfil these goals and activities.

Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves
The Charity maintains two reserves. The operational reserve is maintained only to facilitate its day to day operations.
The Charity also maintains a legacy reserve, which it received from the Antiochian Orthodox Deanery of the United Kingdom (reg. no. 1057533), now ceased, and which is used to make grants and loans to qualifying applicants. No requests have been received in this reporting year.
