We report 011 the accounts of The Sydney and Sheila McGhcc Charitable Trust for the year ended 5 April
2025 which are set oiit on pages 4 to 7.

As the trustees you are respoiisible for the Preparation of ihe accounts. Tlie trustees consider tliat an aiidit is
not requir¢d for this year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the A¢t) and that an independent
exainination is needed.

Basis of independent examiner's report
Our examination ivas carried out in accordance with the General Directions &Fiven by the Charity
Commission. An examination includes a review of the accoiinting records kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounrs presenied with tliose recoi'ds. It also includes consideration of any unusual items
or disclosiiTes in thc aecollnls, and seeking explanations from you as directors coiicerning any such matters.
The procedures und¢rtakeii do not provide all the evidence that ￿(oUld be required in an aiidit, and
conseqiiently no opinion is giiven as to whether the accounts prescT]t 'true and fair, view and the report is
limited to those tnatters Set out in the statemeni below.

In connection with our examination, no matter has come to our attention
which gives us reasonable cause to believe that in any Inatcrial respect the requiremcnls
lo keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the Act,. and
to prepare accounts which a¢¢ord with the accounting records and comply with thc accounting
requirements of the Act have not been met; or
to wlii¢h, in our opinion. attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the

Accounting poli¢ies
B￿15 of a¢counling
The financial statement5 have been prepared under the historical cost convention and include the
results of tlie charity's operations which are described in the trustees, report and all of which are
continuing.
The financial statements have been prepared in J¢¢ordan¢e with Accounting and Reporting for
Charities.. Statement of Recominended Practice applicable lo ¢harities preparing their accoiints in
a¢cordance wilh the Financt ReportEng Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS
102), the Charities Act 201 l and UK GcneTally Accepted Accounting Practice. Thc Charity is exempt
from prLparingy a ¢a%h IIOW Statement.
Fund accoiinting
General funds are unrestricted funds which are available for use at the discretion of the trustees in
furtherance of the general activities of the charity and which have not been designated for other
purposes.
I'axation
The charity is not generally liable for tax by reason of its charitable obje¢ts and status.
Incoming resources
All in¢omingy Te.%our¢es are included in the Statements of Financial Activities when the eharity is
Icgally cntitled to Ili¢ incoine and tlie amount can be quantified with reasonable accuracy.
Value added tax
Value added tax is not recoverable by the charity. and as such is included in the relevani costs in the
Statement of Financial Activities.
Resour¢es expended
All expenditure is a¢¢ounted for on an accruals basis and has been classified under headings that
aggregate all c051s related to that category. Where costs cannot be directly attribiited to particular
headings tliey have beeii allocated to activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources.
Expenditure on management and administration of the charity
Administration expenditure not directly related to the charitable activity predominantly includes
professional fees.
Financial instruments
Financial instruments are classified and a¢¢ount¢d for, accoi'ding to the substaiicc of the contra¢tiial
arrangement, as financial ￿SetS, finaiicial liabilities or equity instruments. An equity instrument is any
contract that cvidences a residual interest in the assets of the charity after deducting all of its liabilities.
