Cippenham Baptist Church (CBC) is an established Christian
organisalion in Cippenham, Slough. It has been in operation for over 90
years and has recently changed its govemance status to a Charitable
Incorporated Organis8tion. govemed by a team of charity Tnjstees.
CBC was set up as an offshoot of Slough Baptist Church and bu1￿ it's
own premises in the 1940s to be an active pillar in th6 Cippenham
community- The sile where the church oper8les is owned by the London
Baptist propety board. and the church leadership has full responsibility,
under authority by the church membership, to manage the organisation.
CBC is headed by a leadership team of 4 trustees nominated by the
thurch membership of 12 and 3 absent members.
The Church was still taking time to review the future for the church, with
prayer. the continued priority was to review the church'5 vision, and
asking for God's guidance for the church community. CBC is supported
by The Baptist union. in all organisational processes.
After trying unsuccessfully to find a suitable minister with support from
the Southern Counties Baptist Association settlement team it was
decided to 8xplore the p055ibility of employing an outreach families and
children's worker as an alternative to a full-time minister. This has been
successful and the new part-time position was filled in September 2022.

Sunday worship- in the absence of a full-time minister a programme of
visiting speakers was put in place and Sunday Worship has resumed.
Pastoral Care is offered by the membership- this includes regular
contact via telephone Of zoom calls those who are alone or vulnerable
during this time.
Home Group has resumed altemating with a Prayer meeting via zoom.
Our Sunday services young church- Children are again welcome to
our Sunday services.
Bumps and Babies a new initiative for mothers with under 1's was
begun in January 2023 and is now extended to under 2's.
Schools Week Aclivity- Our usual presentations lo the schools in April
& December 2024 Easter & Christmas look pla￿ when local primary
school year 6's are invited to the site. This helps the schools to enhance
their religious currbculum requirements. 11 has also been possible lo
attend the schools lo present the prograrnrne, rather than the children
coming lo the church, if that is more appropriate.

Special voices- support group for parents and carers of children wlth
additional needs.
Trinity Church - who use our premises for their Sunday worship.
The Church Manse has continued to be privately rented to a family
during this financial year.
The Ghurch membership agreed to continue supporting the mission of the
H8mmonds via WEC in Coventry.

BU Pension liability- The family's worker was appointed in September
2022. The requirernents of the Baptist Pension organisalion continued to
be $81isfied and the liabilty has now been rolled over for a further 2
years.

Summary ofthe main
achievements of the Charity
during the year
With the support of the Baptist 8ssociation CBC have maintained our
regular activities and made steps to engage more with the needs of
families in the area. There was increased attendance at church Servi￿8.
The Manse has successfully been let privately and the site has been well
used. The church successfully applied to be 'Church of the Yearf wilh the
Southern Counties Baplisl Association and received additional funds for
refurbishment.

CBC'S main source of income other than Fellowship income is through
rental of the church buildings to the community & the Manse.
There has been some upgrading made to the site during the year
including repairing the church floor.
