Cippenham Baptist Church (CBC) is an established Christian organisation in Cippenham, Slough. It has been in operation for over 40 years and has recently changed its govemance status to a Charitsble Incorporated Organisation. govemed by a leam of charity Trustees. CBC was built as a branch of Slough Baptist Church in 1950s the church has been an active pillar in the Cippenham community. The sile where the church operates is owned by the London Baptist propety board, and the church leadership has full responsibility. under authority by the hurth membership, to manage the organisation. CBC is headed by a leadership team of 4 trustees nominated by the church membership of 17 and 3 absent members. Church activities have still been affected by Covid 19 restrictions during this period. The Church VRS still taking time lo review the future for the church. with prayer. the continued priority was to review the church's vision. and asking for God's guidance for the church community. CBC is supported by The Baptist union. in all organisational processes. Over the last 24 months the leadership and membership have been actively requesting suP￿rt through settlement team to find a suitable minister. To date we still have not been successful in attracling a new minister. Due to the length of this process. it was decided the Church would begin talks about a possible partnership with our mother church Slough Baptist Church to develop grovAh in Cippenham. discussions are still ongoing and look forward to investigating further this consideration. We have begun to explore the possibility of employing an outreach families and children's worker as an altemative to a full time minister. Summary ofthe main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefrt) During this financial year CBC has been Unab￿ to continue with some of its usual activitiès: Sunday worship - in line with the BU and govemment restrictions we were able to hold Sunday worship when pemiitted and. otherwise. encouraged members to stay home and join in the livelonline services produced by Slough Baptist Church this was a great blessing at this dtfficult time. Pastoral Care is offered by the membership - this includes regular contact via lelephone or zwm calls those who are alone or vulnerable during this time. Home Groups discontinued during this period. due to the Covid 19 strictions. However, a weekly Prayer meeting via zoom was established to concentrate on the growth of the church and pray for the continued need of leadership in Ihe fom) of a minister andlor the agreement of the partnership with SBC Our Youth programme meeting Tuesday evenings for age &13. This has not reopened due lo lack of volunteers. The Church however has continued to keep in contact with the children and parents. Our Sunday services young church - Covid 19 meant that we are not able to offer any faalities for children during the restricted peri¢)ds. Chatterl)ox our mother and toddlers, group has not been ￿tablished due lo Ihe need for svitable volunteers. Schools Week Actlvlty- Our usual presentstions to the schools in April 2020 & December 2021 Easter & Christmas look place when local primary school year 6's re invited to the site. This helps the schools to enhance their religious curriculum requirements. During this particular difficull ear CBC has not been able to fulfil the full ramme. However, March 2012 TAR

it has been possible to attend the schools to present the programme, rather than the children coming to the church, CBC has many other site users who have use of the building, all these groups have been affected by COVID 19 from February 2020.: Pre School (Mon•Friday) TBA Dancing- dance group for ages 5-16 AA & NA groups Pilatesl keep fft group Special voices - support group for parents and carers of children with additional needs. Most of these groups were able to resume use of the site during the year once the restnctions allowed. Part of the financial year of 2021-2022 being affected by Covid. has therefore caused a redUCt￿n of rental income for the chU￿h during these limes. Trinity Church - who will use our premises for their Sunday worship, prayer groups and children's activtties were also affected as they were unable to meet like CBC. The Church Manse has been privatety rented to a family during this financial year which has been a great help to recover the cost of the refurbishment and a boost to the church's income which has been depleted as a result of Closures of site users. The thurch membership agreed to continue supporting the mission of the HarnmorKls via WEC in Coventry. BU Pension liability- Elsie F from SBC has continued as an interim employee which satisfies the requirements of the Baptist Pension organisation.. therefore, the liability has n¢)w been rolled over for a further 2 years. All the Charty Trustees of Cippenham Baptist church are aware and declare that they have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefrt.
