15th Annual Report for the year 2023-24
(6th Annual Reporl alter ils formation as Zone of the
Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church-UK & Europe on 1 si Jan.20181
Praise the LORD, my soul,. all my innpost being, praise His holy name.
Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all His benelils - who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,
who redeen7s your life fron7 the pit and crowns you with love and Gompassion. (Ps. 103.'14)
Introduction.
While the COVID outbreak has not yel diminished, numerous other issues have been confronted during ihe past year.
There have been numerous casualties and property losses, as well as human rights violations in the Israel-Palesline and
Russia-ukraine wars, among others. We witnessed Chiislians being persecuted in several nations, including Manipur in
India. Apart from the increase in worldwide temperatures, several natural calamities upset the equilibrium of the cosmos
and are something lo behold with fear. The number of people being defrauded is rising as more and more people travel
to Europe and other countries for employment and study. Added to this, rising issues in homes and workplaces paint
vivid picture of the limes. The voice of the Lord saying, 'Do not be afraid, l am with you,, even in such times ol crisis,
helps us lo remain peaceful.
The Council of Mar Thoma parishes in Europe is a unique instrument of the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church
instituted lor conducting effective adminislralive coordination ol the parishes and congregations in the UK and Europe
Zone. The year 2023-24 is marked as a significant year in the history ol the Council of thp Mar Thoma Parishes in Europe.
The following annual report is presented here as a fullilmenl of Clause 4 of the constitution of the COMPE.

were conducted through various digital plattorms. The leadership of Thirumeni in the development ol the Zone, the Zonal

2024, as pprthe decision of the Episcopal Synod and the Kalpana of MarThoma Mptropolilan, No.116, dated 91h December

The Ligm to Life Intiialive of the Diocese of UK-Europe and Aliica embodies a profound commitment to the holistic

of each child, disrupting the vicious cycle of poverty and nurturing them lo become impactful conlribulors to society.
