So as to develop their capabilities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society. Our original application for charitable status stated: _We run leadership/life skills programmes using sport (rugby, football and cricket) as the vehicle for the learning and development process. We invite volunteers to support the projects and we base our work on local organisations - schools, church, other NGOs - to help with logistics and to ensure lasting impact. In each country we are building a cohort of coaches and facilitators to assist and, eventually, run the programmes._ In December 2023, we ran a different schedule of Inspire programmes in Sri Lanka. We ran a facilitation training programme in Batticaloa and then visited two schools in the local rural communities using the new facilitators to support them. Then we repeated the formula in Trincomalee. Here, we visited 4 different schools and received an incredibly warm and positive welcome. We had one volunteer supporting this visit. In January 2024, we ran an Inspire programme for 60 girls in Kathmandu. Once again, we linked with the Padma Kanya School and the Laxmi Pratisthan charity. 12 of the girls came from the Kavre village and we visited the village as part of the programme then travelled to Pokhara to give the girls a new experience. We had three volunteers supporting the programme. We have continued to donate funds for educational projects and small acts of kindness involving individuals (including heart surgery for one of our facilitators). We have funded a member of the Lead to Lead group in Sri Lanka to manage the group and arrange programmes in local schools. One of the trustees continued to support small projects in Rwanda with funds and consultancy to enable the work to continue but this has been on a personal basis rather than through Small Acts of Kindness.
