skills sharing, the leaming of new skills, and
helping with other comrnunity-based projects.

While the Shed's main activities are unchanged
the irroact of the Covid-19 panderrHc has
r&]uired some rnore speafic activities to meet ts
overall aims of helping our beneficiaries age well.
The Shed closed for face-to-faLX SUPPOrt of its
beneficlaries'(shedd6rs) 20" March 2020 and
reopened 1 Y October 2020. Shedders attended
the Shed as in pr&pandemic times until it closed
again 23 December 2020 and reopened 12th
Aw'l 2021.
Durlng the p8rlod 12110120 to 23112120 the Shed
offered its full prcwamme of support for its
beneficiaries. albeit for a reduced number of
shedders.
During the periods: 20103120 to 12110120 (flrst
lockdovm) arKI 2￿12120 10 12104121 (second
l(Kkdown) the Shed instituted outreach support
for all its sheddeTS. During both lockdowns the
staff wtth the support of some volunleers
supported benef￿lariaS.
Through the two k)ckdo¥•ns shedders wBre
supported by:
1. Weekly updates containing.. current
Govemment advi￿, health & safety
guIdar￿￿. scam avoidarTh advice, slmple
econornic & healthy ￿cipeS. local walks for
exercise. quizzes. puzzles, jokes, etc.
2. Weekly rlry-round to speak to each shedder
to find out what remote supp)rt they needed.
About a third of our shedders live in
hous8hold of one so we rang these shedders
t¥vice each week to keep them engaged.
3. Delivery of sw'ng. n-￿dIcInes. Ixjoks,
jigsaws, etc.,
4. Slaff aThJ vc4unteers made planters, bird
tables, bird feeders and viindow boxes plus
the necessary materials to grow items andlor
feed the birds lo keep them engaged and
avoiding i501ation.
The weekty updates were sent electronically to
abc¥Jt a quarter of our shedders bthile
threequarters of updales Thpwe printed and Sent
t by tK)st.
Duriry the fnt lod(down the staff and volunteers
produced a Cowd risk assessment, produced
