The advancement of amaleur sport for the publ￿ berEfrt by offering OPPOrtunitie8 (pariicularly
youth football) to young peopb wthin a 2&mile r*Jius of the Borough of B ￿n￿)d.
When planning our League &i1vit￿8 for the year, the Tntstees have ccmswJer41 the Commwion's
guidance on publi¢ benefit. We seek to redistribute any spare fvnds bxk to memt*r club$ by keeping fees
low and via th6 intr￿luCtion of 8wards durirvJ the season.
All Committea members volunteer their time to enable the League to run Smoothly.
Achlevemonts and Perfonnance
The League contsnues to provid8 football for all the age groups. In the nonvcompdrtNe age groups, the
League ran festNals for U7, lea9￿ games for U7 to U8 and league and cup games for U9 to U11. For the
competitive age groups the League provthd Lea9￿ aThJ cups for U12 to U18. Also. in line with the FA
approved polw, the League continues to allow Girls teams to play down a year to enable player
development. This opt￿n was taken up by over 100 all Girfs teams representing 9% of teams runnlng in the
League. This Season also saw the League accept the first r￿lOdiverse team inlo a mainstream Youth
League- AFC BrenlwoLXI.
The league continu88 to offw a t18[￿1 mwnbership structure to keep member costs dtr•m atthough
increasing volumes of teams and the volume of cup and trophy CCAnWitions provKled in the season means
the tired cost slwdure ￿ aw8 being reasseswj.
Alongside this. the League offers the ￿n￿lOnalty for nonThcompetilive teams to move mid-season to ensure
teams play at their Correct abilty level and new teams can be added to the non-competrtive age groups
during the season. This in Season realignment is well [￿eNed by the member clubs.
The League continued it's wev￿$ year poly of starbng the U13 Age Group in mini league allowing a
better as$essmenl of vth8t division81 alloca11¢￿ surted them as fv transitioned from 9v9 to 11 vl1.
From January the addition81 U11 Trophy minl leagues were run again atthough this was severe
interrupled by the weather.
The league has continued to look to ￿anise and fun courses for the benefft of its member dubs. but this
has not t>een as successful as in previous years. In this arena it cuttinues to work cthely with the Essex
FA.
As in the previous seasons the League conlinues to fund awards for Sportsmanship. Referee and Club
Admin.

The League continues to subscribe to the HelpWrthlT website. Here Clubs have their ovén admin
tortal where they manage their Club data and the League also has an admin portal to cover all the League
min. These continue to great￿ asstst wilh mulb.ple ￿lminiStratiVe tasks and save time and eff(xt.
The discipline CoMm￿ee met monthty to deade on the outcome of all league rule breaches dealing with
over 900. During the season several personal hearings were also requested and held. Following ihe
increase in discipline cases the League called an SGM in October and introduced some new policies
surrounding matchday officials photo IDS and set up a dis¢ipbne dashtx)ard. These will now be standard
going forward. As in pYevK)us years. poor behaviour both on and off the f￿ld of play, resulted iri match
mulliple abandonments.
The FA syslems continue to prowde challenges especially the Malchday App and the League raised a
ticket wrth Ihe FA to highlight a common issue of correctly recording player appearances.
The League utilised the 20 free hours of FA consuliancy over the season looking at pa*J empbDyees: Full
Time system utilisation and league polices,
Financial Review
Wrth the year-end ending one month before th8 end of the s8ason, the accounts income and costs are not
truly representativ8 of the league true season posrtion. This was discussed at a Trustees meeting where a
prowsal to change the year end date to 31 May w8$ agreed. Thts is subject to ralifution by the Charities
Commission.
Due to the continuing growth ol the League a paKI Admin Officer was appointed. This is on the basis of 8
yeady statement of works for a contractOT. wh￿h has been rO4￿Jn8d off for Season 25126. This contributed
£3.9k of new cost8 for the year.
The League have also reviewed the overall financial pOSrti¢￿ and nv•V have 3 ￿$tr￿ted funds setup- a
new League dissolution fund and the existing Repayable Bonds fund and orvJinal CYFL merger
development fund. The Trustee5 ￿ntInUe to revithv how best to ulilise the CYFL merger fund in conjunction
wrth celebrating the 10 Year anniversary of the League The Trustees agreed lo the increase in the
Sportsmanship Award parameters to 10 leams
£100 per age group. This and the other awards have an
outstanding value of £15k offsel by £2k of sronsorship.
The League continues to h8ve a gcth reputalion with existing member Clubs and continues to attract new
members. From a membership perspedNe this l&J to an increase of 9% in team numbers. Desprte this
membership fée income reduced by £4.4k as team rates were flexed. Continuing poor admin by many team
managers increased thé fines lo £8k up almost 80% on the prior season. Cup Finals attendance added an
additional £7k and a new Sponsorship partner saw another £1k. Bank interest was relatNely flat at £1.4k.
As In Ihe previous season the League ran b￿diVISiOnal eup final$ and has invested in new equipment to
ensure a professional image at each final. Due to this the League now also hi￿ a storage unit. This added
one off costs of £6k in the season. Atthough overall Cup Final costs appear Sthver at £9.3k, there are an
eslimaled £10.1 k of costs outstanding. The cup ffinals ran over a ¢Yoek period across 4 srtes. The U11
Trophy Event is the onty costs incurred so far wtth an estimated League Trophy and Medals cost of £6.4k
outstanding.
The upgrade to the Festival bcoking website is conlinuin9 With another £3k swnt. Further costs are
anticipated for the following year as the system enhancement has been more difficult to implement than
èxpected and the impending intrcKluctM of the FA FutureFit strategy Season 25126 impacting U7
football. There is £1 k of costs oulstanding based on work camed out so far and not billed.
Based on the above the year*nd cred￿OrS have tRen estimated at £32.5k with debtors at £8.Sk (Fines
