Achlevements and Performanco
Th8 League now wovkJ88 football all the age groups. In the n(XH￿P￿tIt1ye agg groupB, the League ran
festNals for U7. league games for U7 to U8 and league and cup games for U9 to U11. For th8 competitiv
8ge groups the League provbjed Leagues and cups for U12 to U18. Also, in li￿ wrth the FA apwoved
policy, the League conlinues to allow Girts leams to a year to enable player development. Thls
option was tsken up by over 80 all Girb teams.
The league ¢ontinue8 to offer a ti8red meM1￿ShIp stnKturn to ka8p Member c(th d(Mn altlwh
increasing volumes of teams and the volume of cup and trophy cc*npekns Pfo¥thJ in the season means
the tired cost structhre 18 always being reasses8&I.
Alongside thbs. the League offers the fvnclionalty for ￿K￿petIt￿￿ teams to move mid-8ea8on to ensure
teams play at th￿r correLt ats'lty level arKI t￿8 can be added to the nOn￿￿mpetitive age groups
during the season. This in season realignment is well r&ei¥ed ty the member clubs.
Folknwng a successful trial and lo better a￿9$ the alocakn where twms had M￿ed from
sdie to 11-a•side. the League ran rnini U13 lea9￿ for 6 weeks. After that and based on results the U13
divisions were est*Aished.
From March the addf(ional U11 Trophy mwii were Nn agan. This was to help managers in the
transition to completing matchday retur￿ for fdknymng seasfm.
The league ha$ Continued to bok to ￿ganISe and run courses for the benefft of its member dubs, bJl this
has not been as successful a5 in wevths years. In this arena rt continues to work closely with the Essex
FA.
8 in the previous seasons the League (￿N)UeS to fund SwxtSm￿1p and Referee Award$ and
introduced a new Club Admin Award.

The League c(Yrtinues to subscribe to the HelpWrthlT website. Here Clubs each have their (m￿ &lmin
portal where they manage their Club data and the League also has an admin Ixylal to cover all the League
Imin. These continue to greatty assist with muttiple administrative ta¥ks and save twne and effcrt.
The discipline committee met monthty to decide on the Outco￿ of al *ue rule b￿hes. ￿ring the

There have again been some negatives during the season. Firstty. several officers habing joined at the nor
competrtive age group left very earty on which wt increased p￿SSUre on the League Secretsry and other
fixture Secretaries. This led to the League S• announcing that he wiu stand dcwn at the AGM in
June.
As in previous years, p￿r behaV#￿r both on and off the fi8kl of p*, resulted in match abandonments.
Financial Review
Wtlh the year-end ending one month before the end of the season, the aco)unts income and costs are not
truky representative oflhe league season ￿[1￿. This was discussed at a Trustees meeting where
oposal to change the year end date to 30 June was subrnitt￿ and agreed. This 18 sutyect to ratification
by the Charities Commission.
A new incorne elernent in the sea80n the wrtroduction of a New £50 Member Club kx)Thl. This wa8
intrcrtluced due to prior season issues wrth new clubs. As this is repayable rt is claSsrf￿ as restricted. As
there has been limited requests from Memter Clubs to utilise the r8stricted CYFL fund this fund pot has
been the subject of Trustee reviews and a pLan has tN8en for implementation from next 8ea80n.
This will need to be ratif*d by the League manag8Th￿rt Committee at the slart of next season.
The League continues to have a 9￿j rewrt8kn(￿ with existing member Clubs and continues to attract nv
members. From an income per$￿tive this W to an inmse of 12% in team numbers. This in tum drove
42% increase in the ￿mberShP fee income to £37.8k. Cc4)tinuing poor admin by many team managers
increased the fines to £4.5k with Cup Finals att8rKlance addiw an addrtKxwI £4.2k. Other income wa8 bank
interest £0.9k and £0.9 for Bonds.
Due to the demand on vclunteer ts'me and the lo918tk8 of multlplo divi5￿81 cup the decith was
taken by the Managemerrt C(Mnmittee to onty run bi4Msional cup finals. This resutted in kxier costs than
expected with only £17.4k being Spent for the 34 Cup Finals. These ran over a 44￿ak perlod across 3
main sites. Costs for League trophies and the U11 Trophy Event £8.8k.
The upgrade to the Festival book¥￿ website went ahead and so far £4k has been spent. Further costs are
expected for the fdlchving year as the system enhancement has been fflcye difficult to Implement than
expected.

The impact of the League Secretary announcing he would step dtr*n at the AGM meant the Trustees had
to assess the best way f0Th￿rd to continue to FrnKle the same lever of Ser¥￿e to tts Membw Clubs. To
assist in this process the County FA was contact&J. Folknving this the Lwue was added to the FA panel
whlch allows 20 free hours of FA consuttancy co¥eriThJ a yew. FOlkn￿n9 several of thg consuhancy
meetings a proposal was presented to the Trustees to have a paK1 •Jmlnistrative empk)yee under Rule 4.4.
