HAMESH half year finance report Apr 2024 to Apr 2025.docx 6[th] April 2025

## **Subscriptions**

We have taken 11 full subscriptions, and one part subscription.

We did take on one new member but soon found out that they were not suitable for our shed, so we dismissed their membership and refunded their yearly subscription.

## **Rent**

No mention of lease renewal.

The manager of the Meridian Centre assures us that they are not looking for payment.

## **Public liability insurance**

This was paid last November for another year and will be due again in November this went down by a small amount approximately £40 from last year. We are restricted to using fixed heating, no more portable electric heaters allowed in the shed.

## **Banking**

We continue to bank with Santander, Graeme has taken over Franks role as an operator of this account, due to Franks Rowney’s recent death, we thank Graeme for stepping in to this role. So, Terry, Stewart, and Graeme are three operators, and card holders for this account.

## **Charity finance report**

Stewart and Terry submitted our April 2023 to April 2024 last October.

## **Subs might have to go up next year**

Due to our diminishing membership, we will have to consider increasing our subs if membership does not improve. We were down by £347 on the previous year, and a further £560 this year. We still must pay for our electricity and insurance which is nearly £600 per year.

## **PAT testing**

Terry has tested all the electrical appliances, and for most of the appliances we will perform an annual check in April. Power tools like the router that are put away after use will need inspections half yearly. However please keep a lookout for any damage to the appliance, its lead and plug, report any damage to Terry or Stewarts immediately.

## **The Bench at Green Pond Corner bus stop**

We have finished the bench that will be installed by Havant Council at Green Pond Corner bus shelter. They have paid for materials used, but at the time of writing this it is still in the area next to the shed awaiting collection.

## **Risk Assessments**

Terry drew up a risk assessment based on the use of tools used in HAMESH this must be read and signed by all members, and they will need to be qualified before they use the equipment. Next finance report This will take place in October 2025.
